Straight up, I will say that this is a kind of play on Sisters Of Mercy’s “Black Planet”. In that song, Andrew E builds a vision of a world burned black from radiation and acid rain. Definitely the expectation of the times. It was not the reality we built. The White World is what we have already achieved through a decade or three of postmodern social meddling that would have made Stalin jealous. We live in a bleached world; only pretend otherwise.
All beauty has been shunned. Anything that causes anyone to have to think or ‘have a feeling’ has been declared verboten. Daring to break that rule allows anyone to take it upon themselves to hate-speech the person out of existence. Anyone can declare anyone else a racist hater with no evidence whatsoever just because they want what that person has, usually social credit from having achieved something. Dividing each other so often that no one knows where up is, remains the core strategy.
Gaslight is the only light allowed. Only gaslight is no longer the soft warm glow of Jack the Ripper, but the hard glare of the blue-heavy LED complete with Wi-Fi control so it can be adjusted by the self-declared victim to blind everyone else with rainbow strobing. The masses want to go along as it is lazy-easy. No thought required. No one needs to worry about love tearing them apart, as Love itself is verboten. We all sit in our white rubber-room world, soaking in the steady narcotic drip created by approved creators who turn the wheel, safe from living. Being a blatant liar is the only useful skill.
“A” can pretend to be anything now, so long as it does not dare claim to be “A”.
Being me, I refuse to make a dark subject seem simple and needlessly (safely) dark. In the ultimate archer’s salute, I hold beauty up to show off the ugly – as Andrew did himself in 1985, and I am doing 40 years later (2026).
Tech Stuff
The usual everything done 110% in Reason 14. Most sounds are Europa, Thor, or Algorim. Most effects are stock devices too. It is my rebel mindbase that does the work, not the tools.
Before you read the track notes, be aware that if you don’t like it, that is because it is about you. They are your feelings; deal with them yourself. This is a science fiction story, nothing more, nothing less.
- A Steady Narcotic Drip – is how the rise of the playlist via streaming media became a sedative for the masses.
- The Echo Chamber – is where the official safe line is published, and everyone must echo it to prove how white they are. A different point of view is forbidden.
- Turning The Callous Wheel – the white world throws up content creators who provide the steady narcotic drip. They are the best of all liars as they grind out the white slop.
- Divisionism – was and still is the core strategy to build the white world. Divide everyone so much that no one is able to know anything anymore. After all, all colors go white.
- House of The Surmising Son – the training house for the least capable to become the most important in the white world by wielding false logic to divide us all.
- Homo Ignavus – the least we can make of ourselves. A lifeform become so lazily safe it abandons higher functions to live in a deeper danger.
- The White Night – hail the great champion of blandness who removes all tone and challenge from our world.
- White World – our great solution to all of life’s pains. Deny everything, be nothing. Be bleached white.
- Stand – one will, just be sure they aren’t yet another liar feeding us more callous narcotic drip.
