Arcades

2011 – album by Benedict Roff-Marsh

Arcades was meant to be about the last Space Shuttle trip but it didn’t want to happen. What I ended up with was a dual meaning of arcades as; i) a place or passageway, ii) a place where video games were played in the 1980’s. I am always amused by dual meanings (maybe because I am so literal in many other ways) so the cover shows stylized Space Invaders looming over a pathway through the darkness.

Musically I also ended up with some delicate pieces and some electro-pop too. I recieved one of the best reviews of my career so far for this album:

“I am always happy to hear your new stuff, it is exceptionally produced and never fails to meet a high level of artistic beauty. Lovely, lovely work!!!”  Kibeja
