The “Vale Of Tears” is the Biblical euphemism for the joys of living – only “joys” may not be the best of words. I wish I could save people from their pains and silly mistakes but sometimes all one can do is step back and let people get on with it.
If you enjoy the music please be sure to purchase it for $5 at Bandcamp
as this is the only way I get value back for this work.
Everything about this album may appear odd to the casual viewer (or listener). It is a reaction piece. Sometimes you just gotta, take a bit of a risky business approach. Or to borrow from some other classics:
Well, here’s a poke at you
You’re gonna choke on it too
You’re gonna lose that smile
Because all the while
I can see for miles and milesThe Who – I Can See For Miles
Such things I hear, they don’t make senseThe Sisters Of Mercy – Lucretia My Reflection
I don’t see much evidence
Musically this record swings about with somewhat wild abandon. The things that hold this record to itself are the times, concept, and of course the Benedictness of my work.
Everything in here is, in one way or another, Life driving Art; seeking answers to situations beyond my ability to resolve nicely. This is no insert space scene record, but at the same time, it can be listened to that way. Art is, after all, in the eyes of the beerholder so hear this record as you wish.
Because a lot of this is more personal than esoteric, I will not be giving a track-by-track accounting to protect the guilty from themselves and the innocent from the “Why me?” bound to follow being seen over the miles and brought to account for lack of evidence.
